PEMF (pulsed electromagnetic field) is a non-invasive, drug-free therapeutic modality used to deliver beneficial electromagnetic energy to the body at the cellular level to refuel cells, induce the body's innate recycling system (autophagy and beneficial apoptosis), and optimize natural biological processes so that cells function properly and efficiently. PEMF helps horses (and all animals) achieve peak health and performance.
PEMF is not a substitute for medical/veterinary care and does not claim to treat or diagnose any conditions; however, it can be used to locate and address functional deficits identified by owners, trainers, caregivers, and/or veterinarians. It has been shown to improve overall health and wellness by increasing circulation and blood oxygenation which promotes and optimizes function and healing. To be clear, PEMF does not heal. It gives the body the energy it needs to heal itself.
One major benefit of PEMF is its ability to affect and substantially improve systemic function, not just localized function, for maximum overall benefit to the animal. This is particularly helpful for animals who have multiple locations or idiopathic pain and may assist veterinarians with diagnostics to identify the source of the pain or injury.
